Applications are now open for REP 2024, which will take place from Monday 29 April to Thursday 2 May 2024 at Q Station in Manly, Sydney.
Led by mentors, fifteen editors attend daily sessions where they work on an unpublished adult or YA manuscript that is currently in production. The program also includes a range of workshops and presentations on relevant topics, delivered by guest speakers. At the end of the week, the editor of the manuscript discusses with participants the key decisions and changes made during their editing process. Learn more about REP here.
The program is open to Australian-based adult, YA and children's book editors. Applications will also be welcomed from managing and commissioning editors seeking to refresh their skills.
Applicants from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply, including people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disability.
For REP 2024 there are two scholarship positions available for First Nations editors, and one scholarship position for a freelance editor who is a member of the Institute of Professional Editors (IPEd). Scholarship applications are included as part of the REP application process.
