Named after the pioneering founder of Angus & Robertson, the George Robertson Awards recognise distinguished service to the Australian publishing industry.

Presented annually by the Australian Publishers Association, recipients of the award must:

  1. Have devoted more than thirty years to the publishing industry.
  2. Have demonstrated respect among their colleagues and members of the industry.
  3. Be nominated by a present or a past employer, or by a colleague who is a current member of the APA.
  4. Be currently employed in the publishing industry, or have been retired for less than 3 years.

Nominations open in the first half of each calendar year, and are assessed by the APA’s Board of Directors.
