Discover how to sign up and use TitlePage as a publisher or distributor.

Getting an account

Publishers and distributors must be members of the APA or PANZ before they can subscribe to list titles on TitlePage. Publishers who operate in both markets must be members of the APA.

TitlePage fees

Publishers and distributors pay an annual subscription to list their titles on TitlePage, calculated based on their turnover, plus the number of titles to be listed on TitlePage (at a rate of $0.12/title). Use the calculator on this page to estimate your fees.

Adding a TitlePage subscription

If your organisation is already an APA or PANZ member, you can register for a TitlePage subscription.

Listings

TitlePage supports data for a single source of supply for each of the Australian and New Zealand markets, independent of any market rules or contracts. This means for all listings:

  • Publishers must own or control the exclusive copyright in Australia and/or New Zealand for the titles.

  • Distributors must have exclusive distribution rights in Australia and/or New Zealand.

  • TitlePage does not support listings of wholesalers as alternative sources of supply.
Distributor listings

Distributors can list international titles for which they exclusively own or control copyright or publication rights for the Australian and/or New Zealand markets. If there are non-exclusive distribution arrangements for international titles, the publisher may nominate a distributor as their exclusive TitlePage listing agent for these markets.

Metadata

TitlePage’s search engine utilises title metadata supplied by publishers and distributors via ONIX.

The APA supports members in developing their metadata in order to increase the visibility of their titles on TitlePage and elsewhere.

For more information on TitlePage metadata guidelines and requirements, see ONIX 3.0 specifications alongside the TitlePage ONIX 3.0 element summary.

Uploading files

Publishers and distributors can upload their files and amendments via a secure FTP access point.

Publishers with a relatively small number of titles can upload title information individually via the TitlePage website.

All title information must be presented as XML files in the ONIX format. Detailed information about ONIX and loading procedures will be provided when your account is activated, however, if you have any questions please email [email protected].
