TitlePage is the central digital supply chain service at the heart of the Australian and New Zealand book industry – designed to make it easier to discover, promote, and sell books and educational resources.

With over 1.7 million records, TitlePage is the comprehensive source of accurate and up-to-date price, availability, and rich product data in Australia and New Zealand – powering over 5 million searches a year by booksellers and librarians. Through a user-friendly web platform and advanced data services, TitlePage connects publishers, bookshops, libraries and partners across the supply chain to streamline the communication of bibliographic data throughout the book industry and beyond.

Users can quickly find stock, check pricing, look up title information, and help source products for customers and borrowers 24/7. TitlePage saves time in customer service for bookstores and libraries, while also minimising price and availability queries received by publishers and distributors.

TitlePage is industry owned and operated, and benefits from ongoing development that brings the latest global supply chain enhancements to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Staff at bookshops and libraries can access TitlePage and its extensive bibliographic data for free, with over 3,800 weekly users of the service across Australia and New Zealand. Other industry organisations, such as festivals and media, may also apply for a complimentary TitlePage viewer subscription as an industry partner – alongside educational or cultural institutions and Government bodies.

Publishers and distributors can list and promote their titles through TitlePage, with the service available via subscription to members of the Australian Publishers Association (APA) or Publishers Association of New Zealand (PANZ).

With over 1,800 daily and 3,800 weekly users, TitlePage allows publishers and distributors to reach a broad customer base across Australia and Aotearoa/New Zealand in a cost-effective way.

With customers able to easily find price and availability information, publishers and distributors benefit from fewer calls and emails – saving both time and money.

Beyond stock and availability data, TitlePage also offers opportunities to support booksellers, librarians and educators through rich product metadata by including supplementary resources such as marketing materials or reading group notes.

TitlePage users are highly engaged, with average monthly usage featuring:

  • over 420,000 searches
  • over 900,000 page views
  • more than 130,000 user sessions
  • 23:53 minutes spent on the site per session

The TitlePage web platform that underpins the Australian book supply chain also integrates with bookseller Point of Sale and other industry systems, handling 80,000 API search requests each month.

Usage figures increase considerably over October to December, rising to over 115,000 searches/week.

For bookshops, libraries, suppliers and other industry organisations

The TitlePage platform receives and aggregates information on more than 1.7 million titles from over 180 Australian and New Zealand publishers and distributors. It provides this rich detailed metadata – along with current price, availability and stock information – free to booksellers, suppliers, libraries, schools, universities, and other industry organisations.

TitlePage’s price, availability and bibliographic information is available to users 24/7. This data can also be integrated into your existing systems or websites through API connections.

The ability to access this information on weekends and outside normal business hours means that bookshops and suppliers can provide better service to their customers and save time in dealing with enquiries.

TitlePage registration and fees

For publishers and distributors

Publishers and distributors pay an annual subscription to list their titles on TitlePage, and must also be members of the APA in Australia or PANZ in New Zealand.

The annual subscription fee is calculated based on the publisher or distributor's turnover, plus the number of titles to be listed on TitlePage (at a rate of $0.12/title).
